Introduction To: My Glamorous Mom Life
Hi, my name is Carlee and I’m about to
introduce you into my “glamorous” mom life. #momlife …. Because we are run on
hashtags #needcoffee. Today I woke up to a soaked baby needing a bath yet
again, lol I’m down to one last sheet after we had just bought more because I haven’t
made it to my laundry spot to do laundry. #apartmentlife The bed needs cleaning
now of course, but I love seeing how much fun my son Tobias has in his duck
bath. This is a typical morning for me. I did at least get up in time to have 1
cup of coffee and enter 1 event on the fashion game I play. ( yes I love video
games). I also managed to read my Bible in the quiet (yes!). See, just a few minutes
of quiet can make me feel glamorous. Don’t get me wrong, lipstick and falsies
are my thing but being glamorous isn’t always about the outer part of things. Full
face of makeup, hair done, perfect outfit are most of the time impossible for a
mom of little ones. I do however sacrifice the hair, nails, and time to pick
out an outfit to make sure my makeup is on fleek. ;) Sometimes though, being glamorous
is about a few minutes alone, or a few minutes of quiet, maybe an hour away
just to get groceries or buy things for your little one. This past weekend me and
my husband’s date consisted of taking Tobias to the local corn maze (alone time
is rare for us), even though we couldn’t go out alone we made it work and had
an amazing night. That, made me feel special and glamorous. To be a glamorous
mom sometimes, you have to drop the expectations and be okay with imperfection.
Make it work. Accepting that you might not be 100% on fleek, your house may be
a mess, you have no time or money to get your hair done, and maybe you are
running on 2hrs of sleep and 20 cups of coffee, but that might be just what you need to
start feeling glamorous.
Keep being glamorous and always remember
Proverbs 31,
Carlee, The Glamorous Mom.
